Jazz up your frozen pizza before baking with lots of healthy, nutritious and beneficial herbs such as basil, parsley, oregano and black pepper. Once baked, these herbs will blend in well and taste yummy!

The Health Benefits of Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass offers a lot of nutrients that the human body needs, however, this healthy plant is not known by a lot of people. This article will tackle the health benefits of adding wheatgrass in your daily diet from disease prevention to treating minor skin diseases. 

Drinking 30ml of wheatgrass offers the same vitamins and minerals you will get from eating 1 kilogram of spinach or other leafy vegetables. You will have that rocking effect of vegetables with just one shot of this green plant. Too much acid in the body is one the reasons of the serious illnesses that people are currently suffering from. This green wonder will help increase the alkaline level of the body with its sodium, calcium, magnesium, and potassium contents. 

The society is currently too concerned about early aging. Drinking the recommended wheatgrass juice every day is enough to give the body the natural anti-oxidants that it needs. Premature aging of the body cells is due to the harmful elements that we get from the food we eat. Another harmful element is the UV rays of the sun. This green plant has the capability of promoting the body’s production of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), an enzyme that will minimize the effect of radiation to the human cells. 

If you love carrots and oranges because of their vitamin contents, wheatgrass is proven to have higher Vitamin C contents than oranges, and twice the Vitamin A contents found in carrots. The result is healthy immune system, clear skin and eyes, and fast metabolism. 

Normal circulation of the blood vessels is essential for oxygen delivery to the brain, and other parts of the body. Taking at least a glass of wheatgrass juice a day multiplies the manufacturing of red blood cells in the body. The explanation to this is because the chlorophyll found in plants has similar components as the red blood cells. The body will easily absorb chlorophyll, and transforms it into haemoglobin. High oxygen content in the blood vessels promotes skin renewal, and removes harmful elements in the body. This will in turn improve the body’s endurance against stress, diseases, and strenuous activities.

This grass can also be used externally by applying it directly to the human skin. It’s proven to cure skin itchiness and allergies. It will promote hair growth, and improve scalp condition when applied directly to the head before applying shampoo.
