Prevention and Treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

10/20/2020

Carpal tunnel syndrome must not be neglected and it should be treated in as early stage as possible. Underlying causes like diabetes or arthritis should be treated first.

Initial treatment involves resting the wrist and hand for couple of weeks and avoiding movements that may increase symptoms. If inflammation is persistent, use of cool packs may help reduce swelling.
At the workplace, care must be taken to avoid stiffness in muscles. Perform stretching exercises, taking periodic rest breaks and using correct posture and wrist positioning may prove to be extremely helpful.

Working tools and tasks can be redesigned to maintain a natural position of worker’s wrist during work. Jobs can be shuffled among workers to avoid repetitive wrist movements.

If you work on a computer, having an adjustable keyboard table and chair with a wrist rest is recommended by doctors.

These are just some of the key prevention and treatment ideas for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. There are many other small and big lifestyle changes that one can easily make to greatly help with addressing the complications related to CTS- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

What are the major causes of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)?

10/13/2020

Carpal tunnel syndrome does not arise only due to a defect in the nerve. This disease flourishes because of a combination of constant increased pressure on the median nerve and tendons in the carpal tunnel.

This happens due to repetitive tasks done by wrist like driving for a long distance or sitting at the wrong posture while using your computer. Other major could be injury to the wrist such as sprain or fracture.

Clinical data proves that forceful and repetitive movements of the wrist during work or leisure movements can cause carpal tunnel syndrome.
Women are more likely to develop carpal tunnel syndrome mainly because the carpal tunnel is smaller in women than in men. Diabetic patients or other metabolic disorder patients are prone to carpal tunnel syndrome as these ailments directly affect the body's nerves making them more disposed to compression.

People working with hand tools and those using a computer keyboard on a regular basis  and longer interval of times are at highest risk.

What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) and what are its major signs and indications??

One fine day when you are working on your computer ignoring the numbness or tingling you've had from quite a long time in your wrist. All of a sudden, a sharp pain rises through the wrist and up your hand. Is it just a muscle cramp? There are chances that you may have carpal tunnel syndrome, a painful state developed due to compression of a major nerve in your wrist.

What is carpal tunnel syndrome?

This disease occurs when the median nerve (a major nerve which runs through the forearm branching into the palm of the hand) gets squeezed or pressed at the wrist. This nerve is responsible for controlling sensations to the palm and generating impulses to other small muscles running in the hand enabling thumb and fingers to move. This may result in pain or numbness in the wrist and eventually in the entire hand.
What are the major signs of carpal tunnel syndrome?

Signs indicating frequent burning, itching or numbness in the palm are usually the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Some patients reported that their fingers feel swollen and useless with little or no apparent swelling.

A suffering person sometimes wakes up feeling the need to shake out the wrist while sleeping at night.

As symptoms increase, people feel tingling during the day as well. In chronic cases, the muscles of the thumb may stop working permanently. Some patients reported the loss of ability to distinguish between hot and cold touch.

What is carpel tunnel? and How Magnetic Healing can be used to heal Carpel Tunnel Syndrome...

Carpel tunnel is a gap in the wrist which is made by wrist bones, as the surroundings and floor of that tunnel are made with these bones.

There are tendons in the carpal tunnels and they go up to fingers and thumb. There is a median nerve which gets squeezed when the tendons swell overloading the tunnel. This nerve is extremely sensitive to pressure, hence your daily physical activities especially the use of computers can damage the nerve causing inflammation.
The traditional way of treatment include pain killers, splints, lot of rest and surgery, but magnets treat the disease in a different way without any side effects.

As Carpal tunnel syndrome happens in the wrist, hence it’s easy to treat with a magnetic bracelet, or any kind of support. To get fast results, you should wear the bracelet all the time; especially wear it at night while sleeping. Most patients feel swelling, numbness, cramps and needles at night.

It’s a very painful disease that causes the immobility of the painful area, but experts say that the reason behind is not any disease as arthritis, but the damage happens due to the daily tasks done by the patient.

So, when the disease is cured it will not reappear until pressure is put on the nerves again, then the patient can reuse the magnet on the affected area.

How Magnetic Therapy Can Be Used to Heal Arthritis, and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome?

Many practitioners of magnetic therapy claim a lot, that it helps reduce the arthritis pain, and this is true to some extent. You can use a magnet on your joints where the increased blood circulation helps get rid of pain.

There are many kinds of arthritis and all of them are called rheumatic diseases, which cause muscle weakness, swelling of joints, tendons as well as ligaments. In some conditions the disease can also affect the internal organs. The basic reason is the inflammation that causes severe or mild pain upon pressures of any kind.

Magnetic therapy though cannot completely cure arthritis, but it can relieve the pain making the muscles soft. The success of this treatment depends on the nature of disease and the area, like if there is inflammation in more than one area, then the magnet should be placed directly over those areas.
Benefits to the joints

• Around the knees and hips or back area, you can use the bracelet for the treatment. They are easy to wear and provide comfort to the joints.
• Whereas if the arthritis is in feet area, you can place a ‘magnetic shoe insole’ in the shoes to reduce the pain; this can even cure pain in the knees.
• Magnetic mattress is also designed for treating different types of arthritis; in fact it’s the most effective way of therapy for multiple areas. The magnetism created by it can last for several hours.

Magnetic Forces help the body to heal itself by stimulating the biochemistry of the body so natural healing can take place. It is simple to apply, effective and inexpensive.

Magnetic Therapy i.e. use of magnets for cure has been a part of basic healing procedure since recorded history. Egyptian nobility and royalty were supposed to wear magnetic jewelry i.e. jewelry made of magnetic materials to preserve youth and beauty.

African tribes have also been known to use magnetic ores in food preparations- it is only recently it has been “rediscovered” that, the magnetic fields can alter the flavor of some foods.

This book discusses use of Magnets for healing- for relieving pain, it's benefits and possible side effects along with some of the more noted medical use of magnets in Trans Cranial Magnetic Stimulation and Bio Electromagnetism.
